In water treatment systems for industrial pure water, electroplating, chemical, food and beverage industries, wire wound filter cartridges are the most commonly used filter elements in security filters. They trap suspended solids, colloids, rust and other impurities through a deep winding structure to protect downstream RO membranes and precision equipment, and are compatible with most filter housings on the market.

Wire wound filter cartridges are available in multiple series based on core material, filter yarn material and winding process. Proper selection according to your needs can achieve ideal filtration performance.

Wire wound filter cartridges with PP yarn & stainless steel core, and wire wound filter cartridges with cotton yarn & stainless steel core.
The PP yarn version with stainless steel core adopts program-controlled winding, delivering stable filtration accuracy and resisting deformation under high pressure. The cotton yarn version with stainless steel core can withstand temperatures up to 120°C. It also adsorbs oil, suitable for oily wastewater and high-temperature liquid filtration.

Optional winding patterns: large fat winding, large pattern, medium-large pattern, medium pattern, medium-small pattern, small pattern. Different winding patterns provide different interception accuracy and dirt holding capacity. Special materials such as glass fiber wound and stainless steel degreased cotton can handle special fluids. Select the proper winding pattern according to impurity content, filtration accuracy and working conditions.

Custom filter cartridges with special functions are also available: antibacterial wire wound filter cartridges (blue), copper removal wire wound filter cartridges (orange-red).
The antibacterial type achieves deep filtration while inhibiting bacterial growth. The copper removal type selectively removes copper ions from water, widely used for electroplating wastewater treatment.
Typical application scenarios of wire wound filter cartridges: pre-security filtration for RO reverse osmosis systems, chemical raw material filtration, liquid purification for food and beverage, suspended solid removal in surface water.

The core advantage of wire wound filter cartridges lies in their high deep dirt holding capacity. The pressure difference rises gently before dirt saturation, resulting in a longer replacement cycle and lower system maintenance costs. Three key factors should be considered during selection: liquid temperature, fluid medium and system pressure.
